On Friday morning, Boston police shot and killed a man who was wielding a knife after he charged at officers during a mental health crisis in the Brighton neighborhood.
The officers had responded to a reported mental health emergency and encountered the individual armed with a knife. When the man advanced toward them, officers used lethal force, resulting in his death.
