A missing boater was rescued after three days adrift off Marco Island, Florida, on Oct. 30, 2026. The U.S. Coast Guard carried out the rescue with assistance from Marco Island Fire Rescue, the Collier County Marine Unit and the Marco Island Police Department Marine Unit.
The Coast Guard lost contact with the boater on Tuesday, Oct. 27, prompting a multi‑agency search in rough conditions around Marco Island. After three days, the boater was located aboard his disabled vessel and brought to safety.
