On October 27, 2026, a second annual appreciation event for school crossing guards took place at 7:30 a.m. at the corner of Fielding and West Hill avenues in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighbourhood. Montreal police (SPVM) were present for the ceremony.
The gathering honored the workers who assist students in safely navigating busy streets around schools throughout Montreal, highlighting their contribution to child safety.
