The Montreal Municipal Housing Office announced it will evict roughly twenty vulnerable families from public housing units in the Rivière-des-Prairies neighbourhood on 13 November 2026.
The evictions are linked to a demolition programme in which the agency has begun tearing down several public‑housing blocks in the area, prompting the displacement of residents.
The removal of the families is scheduled to take place over a three‑week period.
