Disabled transit riders and accessibility advocacy groups are asking the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to shift the reservation cutoff for its Access-a-Ride door‑to‑door paratransit service. The current deadline of 5 p.m. the day before a trip would be moved to 11:59 p.m. the night before.
The push comes from riders who need transportation after regular work hours, saying the existing cutoff limits their ability to travel.
Access-a-Ride presently requires reservations by 5 p.m. the day prior to a scheduled ride.
