Asbestos dust was discovered coating the exterior walls of a Brooklyn public housing building, leading the New York City Housing Authority to extend relocation offers to tenants.

The contamination affects nearly two dozen apartments, housing about 75 residents, prompting health concerns among those living in the building. Digna Torres, a resident, is among those offered relocation.

NYCHA is managing the building and addressing the asbestos issue for the affected tenants.
