U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement deployed roughly 24 unmarked vehicles and masked agents around Elmhurst Hospital in Queens on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026. The presence persisted for more than ten hours, covering the hospital site throughout the period.
The operation is being observed by Hands Off NYC, a grassroots coalition that includes over 250 labor unions, faith leaders and advocacy groups monitoring immigration enforcement actions in the city.
