The New York City Department of Transportation announced that it will begin a public engagement period for four multi‑mile greenway projects in the city’s outer boroughs.

The outreach runs from Oct. 27 to Oct. 31 and includes two in‑person workshops that will be held in the Bronx.

One of the planned greenways measures 15 miles in length, while the other projects add additional miles of bike and pedestrian routes.

The department said the sessions are intended to collect community feedback on the proposed greenway plans.
