New York City announced that its late‑night soccer lighting program will be extended to one park in each of the five boroughs, permitting games to continue until 2 a.m. through Nov 30, 2026.
The initiative keeps park lights on for after‑hours recreation, with a lighting cutoff set at 2 a.m. in each of the five selected parks.
Originally launched to provide after‑hours recreational opportunities, the program is being continued for an additional month.
