The NYC Ferry board, overseen by the New York City Economic Development Corporation, is set to vote on a proposal to increase the regular fare from $4.50 to $5, a rise of more than 11 percent. The vote is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with the new price slated to take effect in October 2026 if approved.
The plan also calls for discounted tickets to be offered to middle‑school students.
