The Citizens Budget Commission, a New York fiscal watchdog, recommended that the Metropolitan Transportation Authority eliminate certain positions, including removing one crew member from fully automated train services, to reduce expenses and address anticipated budget shortfalls.
The recommendation appears in a new report from the commission as the MTA confronts growing financial pressures.
