A 4-year-old child was fatally struck by a northbound tractor‑trailer on State Route 41 near Highland Road in Highland Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, at about 12:25 p.m. on September 24, 2026.
The child was walking in a grassy area along the highway shoulder when the collision occurred. Pennsylvania State Police reported the incident on the rural stretch of Route 41 and are conducting an investigation.
