The city council president condemned the police department for shifting blame after Officer Shane Seiber was fatally shot in an ambush.

District Attorney Larry Krasner said the department mishandled an earlier murder investigation involving the suspect, who now faces murder charges.

The suspect is charged with murder for the ambush that killed Seiber, following the alleged investigative failures.
