Over 100 HIV activists and supporters gathered at Philadelphia City Hall on Oct. 3, 2026, to demand that federal Medicaid cuts announced by the Trump administration be reversed.
The crowd included activists traveling from New York and Philadelphia, leaders of nonprofit organizations, and a city council member, all united in opposing the funding reductions that affect patients living with HIV.
Demonstrators said the cuts threaten access to treatment for HIV patients and called on officials to restore the previous level of Medicaid support.
