On Oct. 24, 2026, architecture, design and engineering student teams at Jefferson University built wooden launchers to propel a 5‑pound pumpkin the greatest distance possible.
Seven teams took part, each constructing a wooden contraption for the on‑campus competition, using the event to showcase their engineering, design and architectural skills.
