The steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art will be illuminated for four consecutive nights to honor the 50th anniversary of the film “Rocky” and to promote Sylvester Stallone’s memoir titled “The Steps.”
The lighting event is being organized in partnership with the Philadelphia Visitor Center, the publisher HarperCollins William Morrow, and the Klip Collective, with Stallone’s involvement highlighted.
The 1976 movie “Rocky” has long been a defining element of Philadelphia’s cultural landscape, most famously showcasing the protagonist’s training run up the museum’s iconic steps.
