Philadelphia rolled out its inaugural mobile methadone van on Sunday, bringing addiction treatment directly to residents of the Kensington neighborhood.
Since the program’s launch, the van has linked more than 500 people with methadone, targeting patients who have difficulty traveling to traditional clinics. This effort marks the city’s first mobile methadone initiative aimed at expanding treatment access in Kensington.
