Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) announced a proposal to convert the historic East Passyunk trolley substation into a new use, with the plan to incorporate community input and developer concepts.
The building, an old trolley power substation that has remained unused for years, sits in Philadelphia's East Passyunk neighborhood and is the focus of the agency's effort to repurpose the industrial relic.
The ultimate function of the site will be determined by feedback from local residents and ideas presented by real estate developers.
