The city of Philadelphia and SEPTA announced plans to convert the historic Shawmont Station depot in the Roxborough neighborhood into a train museum.
The 200‑year‑old railroad building has been out of service for more than 30 years.
Officials say the repurposing will give the long‑shuttered site new life as a museum dedicated to rail history.
