At about 13:59 on Thursday, more than a dozen vehicles were damaged on US 60 near Mesa when hydraulic jacks scattered on the roadway struck passing traffic.
The equipment, left on the highway, created a hazard that led to multiple collisions and significant vehicle damage.
A number of the hydraulic jacks were later found on the Mesa stretch of US 60, confirming the source of the hazard for drivers.
