Maricopa County has reinstated the voting rights of 25 individuals who were flagged by a citizenship verification process, following a lawsuit challenging their removal from the voter rolls.

The legal action was prompted by Mayes, who asked a judge to order a full reinstatement of the affected voters and the immediate mailing of ballots to them.

The county’s citizenship verification had previously removed these voters, and the court challenge led to their restoration during the ongoing election.
