An assault occurred about half a block from the West Seattle Junction Association on Tuesday night, prompting residents to call for additional surveillance in the area. A cellphone video of the incident has been circulated publicly.
The West Seattle Junction Association, which operates safety teams in The Junction seven days a week, noted the event as a safety concern for the neighborhood.
Community members are urging local authorities to consider installing more cameras to help deter future attacks.
