On Oct. 4, 2026, a gunfire incident near the intersection of S 8th Street and Pacific Avenue in downtown Tacoma resulted in the deaths of two men and injured a woman.
The Tacoma Police Department responded to the scene following the shooting.
Residents of the area have voiced a demand for a heightened police presence in the downtown district.
