Seattle City Light will close the westbound ramp on the West Seattle Bridge for eight consecutive nights, from October 5 through October 12, 2026. The closures allow crews to restore 80 streetlights that went dark after theft on the bridge and the Spokane Street Viaduct.

A spokesperson, Kate Jacobs, said the temporary ramp shutdowns are part of a larger effort to fix darkened lighting on both bridges. The work will be carried out each night during the closure period to ensure the streetlights are operational again.
