Superintendent Dr. Ivan Duran of Highline Public Schools recommended that the district shut down Maritime High School, a specialty school located south of Seattle in the Highline School District.
The recommendation comes as Seattle Public Schools continue to review school closures, prompting the neighboring Highline district to consider closing its maritime-focused high school.
