King County announced it is advancing plans to open a mental health crisis center in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, with the facility slated to begin operations in 2027.
The county had approved the purchase of a building for the center nearly a year ago and is now proceeding with construction and staffing arrangements to ready the site for its intended launch.
The new center is intended to provide dedicated services for mental health emergencies in the area.
