On Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, Rebecca Saldaña and Toshiko Grace Hasegawa began campaigning for a seat on the King County Council that covers the University District, Capitol Hill, South Seattle, Skyway and portions of Tukwila.
The contested district spans several Seattle neighborhoods and the nearby city of Tukwila.
