Seattle Police Department hosted a public drug take‑back event Saturday morning at the Southwest Precinct community room, 2300 SW Webster, giving residents a way to safely discard expired or unwanted medication before 2 p.m.
The event offered two filled medication drop boxes and two empty drop boxes, and Jennifer Satterwhite of the Drug Enforcement Administration was present.
The take‑back day is part of a nationwide program sponsored by the DEA to provide a safe disposal option for the community.
