A dry spell and temperatures a touch above normal are set for Seattle on Thursday and Friday, while the northern Washington coast, Point Roberts and western Whatcom County can expect light rain showers.

The weather pattern is being driven by weak atmospheric waves riding the jet stream as they move across British Columbia and northern Washington.

Such conditions align with the typical early‑October climate for the Seattle area, which usually features dry weather and mild temperatures.
