Sound Transit announced that sections of its light rail system and the I-405 corridor on the Eastside will be closed this weekend for wire adjustments. The closures are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, October 17–18, 2026, while crews work on the overhead wires. The timing coincides with the Seahawks being away, allowing the maintenance to proceed without additional disruptions. Since the system's grand opening on March 28, trains have operated at reduced speed, and the upcoming closures will enable the necessary wire work.
