On International ShakeOut Day, October 15, 2026, millions of people throughout Washington state will take part in earthquake preparedness drills organized by the Great ShakeOut campaign.

The annual drill is intended to teach residents safety measures for earthquakes, allowing them to practice procedures across the state.
