The Ontario government announced changes to its residential electricity pricing structure that will take effect on Nov. 1, 2026. The adjustments include a reduction in the household electricity rebate and a lowering of winter electricity rates.
These modifications are part of Ontario’s existing ratepayer rebate program and its seasonal pricing system, which together influence the cost of power for residential customers.
