International Video Store Day was observed in Toronto on Oct. 17, 2026, as movie lovers gathered at venues such as Eyesore Cinema to revisit DVDs and VHS tapes.
The celebration was created by Daniel Hanna 16 years ago after he realized no event existed for video stores. Since its inception, the holiday has spread to video stores across Canada and beyond.
Participants including Naama Weingarten joined the festivities at the cinema.
