A 13-year-old driver was charged with driving without a license after losing control of a car on a Fairfax County Parkway ramp at Pohick Road just after 7 a.m. on Oct. 4, 2026. The vehicle struck a power pole and came to rest on a railing, with a 13-year-old passenger also in the car.
Fairfax County Police noted that Virginia law prohibits anyone under 15 from operating a motor vehicle, making the charge against the teenager unusual.
