On October 17, 2026, the Alexandria Police Department hosted a safety and security training session in Alexandria, Virginia, together with police forces from three surrounding counties.
Officers from Prince William County Police, Fairfax County Police and Arlington County Police participated, representing three counties in the joint exercise.
The training was organized to ready officers for potential security needs on election day, as local agencies coordinate measures ahead of the November 2026 general election.
