Mentoring Through Athletics began offering complimentary hot breakfast meals to students and families at Riverdale Elementary School on Saturday, responding to increased food insecurity linked to rising grocery prices.
The program, coordinated by the nonprofit and its representative Ashley Montgomery, provides the meals on the school premises in Prince George's County, Maryland, aiming to help families cope with the higher cost of groceries.
