Residents of Cocquina Drive in Reston have complained that the expansion of a nearby CoreSite data center is creating excessive noise and light pollution.
The facility, located close to the Fairfax County Parkway, has been operating and expanding since 2016, a period of roughly ten years.
Homeowners say the heightened illumination and sound levels from the data center’s operations affect nearby homes.
The expansion has been ongoing for about a decade, and the complaints have persisted throughout that time.
