The U.S. Army announced that a number of streets in Virginia and Washington, D.C. will be closed on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, to accommodate the 42nd annual Army 10‑Miler race, which is set to start at 7:50 a.m.
The race follows Route 110 and will pass near the Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial and the Pentagon. Temporary closures are required to keep the course clear for participants.
Organizers expect thousands of runners to take part. Storm Team4 Chuck Bell noted that remnants of Hurricane Isaias are forecast to bring between one and two inches of rain on race day.
