Fairfax County and the Virginia State Troopers issued a total of 60,000 traffic citations and warnings through the Road Shark enforcement program during 2026. The joint initiative, which began operating in April 2022, targets unsafe driving behaviors to improve roadway safety.
The program, a collaboration between county officials and state police, continues its effort to curb dangerous driving across Fairfax County.
