A Giant Tiger discount‑store in Winnipeg closed on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2026, removing another source of low‑cost groceries for shoppers.
The shutdown follows a series of recent Giant Tiger closures across the city, leaving residents with fewer discount‑grocery outlets.
Local shoppers expressed concern that the loss of the store will limit affordable food choices and reduce overall grocery availability in the neighbourhood.
