Gordon Bell High School in Winnipeg opened a time capsule that had been sealed in 1960 on Oct. 9, 2026, as part of its centennial celebrations. The 66‑year‑old container was displayed and a new capsule was filled with items for future students.
The school, founded in 1926, marks its 100th anniversary this year. The newly sealed capsule is intended to be opened by a later generation, continuing the tradition of preserving school history.
