Students from St. John's High School are urging the city to improve the accessibility of Winnipeg's municipal election website after finding it difficult to navigate while researching mayoral candidates.

The difficulty was encountered during a Grade 12 global issues class assignment that required students to examine information on the candidates for the upcoming municipal election. The website, which hosts details about the mayoral contenders, was described as hard to navigate.

The students are asking municipal officials to make the site more user‑friendly so that residents, including young voters, can more easily access candidate information.
