The Manitoba provincial government announced on October 13 that it is allocating $985,000 to three of Winnipeg’s largest festivals—Manito Ahbee Festival, Festival du Voyageur and Folklorama—and an additional $221,800 to 44 smaller festivals across the province, bringing the total grant amount close to one million dollars.
The funding is intended to support cultural events scheduled from April through December 2026, helping to sustain a range of community celebrations throughout Manitoba.
