Mayoral hopeful Scott Gillingham announced plans to create a special committee that will study how Winnipeg should manage emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, data centres and driverless cars.
The advisory group will be tasked with determining the city's approach to these technologies.
Gillingham is the incumbent candidate in Winnipeg's municipal mayoral race slated for October 2026.
