A colorful double basketball court was opened on Friday, September 26, 2026, at Gordon Bell High School in Winnipeg. The project brought together the school’s students, the professional Winnipeg Sea Bears team, and the community group Buckets & Borders, and resulted in two new courts aimed at fostering community pride.
The collaborative effort produced two adjacent courts featuring vibrant designs, marking the first such installation at the high school. Participants highlighted the initiative as a way to strengthen ties between the school, local sports professionals and the surrounding community.
