The province of Ontario announced that on November 1, 2026 parts of northwestern Ontario will move to permanent daylight saving time. The change is intended to bring the region's clocks into line with Manitoba, which already follows permanent daylight time.

Manitoba's existing permanent daylight schedule prompted Ontario to adopt the same system for its northwestern area, aligning the two provinces' timekeeping practices.
