Two negligence lawsuits were lodged in Suffolk Superior Court on Friday. One suit was filed by the owners and managers of a Boston hotel, alleging that a contractor’s maintenance of the hotel’s kitchen exhaust system was faulty and caused a fire in the hotel’s restaurant. The second suit was brought by a seafood distributor, claiming that a malfunctioning freezer system melted a large quantity of frozen fish, resulting in damages.
Both actions seek compensation for property damage and losses linked to the respective incidents in Boston’s Back Bay area, specifically at 15 Arlington Street.
