On October 13, 2026, at about 7 p.m., a driver impaired by drugs struck two Massachusetts State Police cruisers on Route 6 east at Exit 68 in Barnstable, Cape Cod.
One cruiser was unoccupied while a trooper was responding to an earlier crash, and a second cruiser had stopped behind it to provide assistance when it was hit from behind.
