Gov. Maura Healey announced on October 14, 2026 that $1.75 million in grant funding will be provided to Massachusetts schools to educate students about online safety, cyberbullying, personal data protection, misinformation and healthy social‑media use.

The money is aimed at protecting students from the harmful impacts of social media as concerns grow over youth exposure to online risks such as cyberbullying and misinformation, leading state officials to allocate new resources.
