An adult male intentionally stepped into the right‑of‑way of an outbound Green Line B trolley on Washington Street in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston at about 8:55 p.m. on October 7, 2026. The trolley struck the man, who died at the scene.
Boston Emergency Medical Technicians and Boston Firefighters removed the victim’s body, and Transit Police secured the area. The MBTA halted trolley service on that segment and provided shuttle bus service between Babcock Street and Boston.
